Our back-to-school campaign, A Safe Start for Students, aims at supporting post-secondary students across Canada who are facing and at risk of experiencing tech-enabled sexual harms.

Why does our campaign matter?
Qualitative research indicates that during the time period from orientation week to Halloween, post-secondary students and especially freshmen can face heightened risks of exposure to sexual violence
(University of Waterloo Student Association, 2026; University of British Columbia Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office, 2025).
Our Goals and Intentions
✅ Provide informal and formal peer support services to 300 students across Canada
✅ Educate 1,000 students on tech-enabled sexual harms, where and how to access help across Canada
✅ Collaborate with 5 sexual violence response
centres, advocates and service providers
