Service Description
A one-on-one 45-minute session with a DSVSC peer support worker
Cancellation Policy
Rescheduling or Cancelling - Participants may cancel or reschedule an appointment up to 12 hours before the scheduled session at no cost. - Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered a late cancellation. Missed Appointments (No-Shows) - If a participant does not attend their scheduled session and does not provide notice, this will be considered a missed appointment. - If you do not attend your session, we will retain 100% of the session fee to accommodate for our peer support workers time and session preparation - After two missed appointments, participants may be temporarily placed back on the waitlist to allow others the opportunity to access support. Emergencies - If you are unable to attend your peer support session due to illness, crisis, or unexpected circumstances, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing programs.thedsvsc@gmail.com - We understand that unforeseen changes can happen and we want to support you with compassion and understanding. Repeated Cancellations - If frequent late cancellations or missed sessions occur, we may reach out to discuss whether a different scheduling approach would better meet your needs. - Our goal is to ensure that every survivor who seeks support is able to access it in a timely and reliable way. Compassion & Accountability Our peer support program is built on mutual respect, trust, and care. This policy ensures that survivors have consistent access to support, while also honoring the commitment of our peer support workers. We ask for your understanding and partnership in making this program accessible and sustainable for everyone.
